CHECKED (Boston Terriers Hockey #1)CHECKED by Jacob Chance

“A Sweet and Exciting Fairytale Romance”

What a beautiful, sweet, and heart-warming friends-to-lovers secret fairytale kind-of-read, a read filled with a slowly percolating, chemistry-laden romance, brimming with a low-angst and equally hopeful storyline, with wonderfully dedicated, humorous, and adorable secondary characters with plentiful exciting hockey-infused moments as well.

Checked, by Jacob Chance, is a story that I loooved so hard and as I spent my time either squealing with glee due to such incredibly yummy cameos made by characters from previous series or the existence of the actual plot of this sports-romance, it was actually a toss up of when I made the loudest outburst, because there was just so much to this ultra-smooth storyline of such a highly-anticipated new series.

While I sat and soaked in this nail-biting sports romance, I was honestly waiting for the proverbial ball to drop as that seemingly predictable twist all readers..wait for..I continued to read on in between the cheering, the squealing, the giggling, the snorting, the gasping, and, the high-pitched squealing..because you know..it’s a SPORTS ROMANCE and this reader clearly breaks for them.  ‘Nuff said.

GAH..can I pocket Clancy up?  I adore him and am so proud of him for so many different reasons.  His maturity, strength, dedication, and, unbelievable love was incredible.  And, Tenley with her spunk, dedication, and drive, it was certainly admirable to read of her quickly growing strength and overall growth.

Even though I wasn’t crazy about the particular trope within this romance, I still loooved the story.  However…I still wished for more depth and development in certain parts of the story as there were a few confusing parts for this reader.  BUT!  I still loved it and warmly look forward to more from this series..:)
