Out of the ShadeOut of the Shade by S.A. McAuley

Out of the Shade (ARC) was graciously provided to me by A Novel Take PR for an honest review. I have voluntarily read this book and have provided my honest opinion.

                                                       “The Beauty of One’s Canvas..”

An absolutely beautiful, massively intense, thought-provoking, heart-wrenching, soul-searching realistic story; one filled with moments of great banter, humor and sexy times is one that each reader should consider reading, as I did, and it ultimately blew-me-away..
Out of the Shade, by S.A. McAuley, like a slowly approaching spring storm, slowly came upon me and actually took my breath away as a result of it’s relevance and magnitude.  It’s a hidden uplifting story built from indescribably gripping and heart-breaking moments between two beautiful men, both wanting true happiness that despite being at a disguised similar juncture, find themselves battling life’s painful yet necessary changing ways.

This story.  This story was amazing.  With its hugely important and honorable storyline, an equally powerful and emotional plot with many addicting characters, with the added strength of numerous detailed sub-plots as well, it all collectively makes up an incredible story.  “Live Your Life.”  Three somewhat small words held the entirety of this story.  Jesse Solomona and Chuck Dunn are two individuals who are trying to do just that.  One, a beautiful, strong, athletic, gentle, kind, dedicated young man with gorgeous Polynesian ancestry, afraid to live honestly and openly, and, the other a tattooed, compassionate, kind, athletic young man, desperately trying to find equaled happiness.

Out of the Shade is one of those stories that kind of creeps up on the reader and in turn the reader is unknowingly blindsided by its impact.  Speaking for this reader, this concretely was the case.  As briefly mentioned, its storyline is clearly stunning.  Its plot a long and winding bumpy road with many surprising and painful dips.  These dips are the sub-plots, all of which are somehow perfectly interconnected with the main plot.  Many of them are brutal, and are to be considered as triggers, both on page and off.  The secondary characters are plentiful and many of them are kind, equally dedicated, wonderful, adorable, sweet, and, actually fluffy squeal worthy, while a few..have room to grow.

Out of the Shade, by S.A. McAuley, spoke volumes of feelings of self-worth, for being loved and for being accepted.  It’s a story about the acceptance of many, and without sounding preachy, was a beautifully molded congruent story.  The writing was plentiful and deep, and, even though it was a bit confusing at times, and, further development in a select few areas would have been welcomed for this reader, its overall affect had this reader completely and emotionally involved with this story and its characters.  As a result, I had that warmed gooey feeling as a result of such a beautifully bright and shinny ending.  I really, really liked it..:)
