Healing Him (Bromley Brothers, #2)

A heart-breaking hopeful story..

A heart-breaking, and, hopeful story with a gripping and emotional plot with strong and dedicated characters, lead the way for an intriguing, addicting and enjoyable read that had this reader on an equaled quest for peace and happiness right along with all of the characters of this story. I loved the premise of it, and, was in an almost constant state of warmed-goo as a result of the dedication of a majority of these characters. I read while teetering on the edge-of-my-seat throughout most of this journey, as the lives of the characters were fluctuating sources of great happiness and also of great sadness. I enjoyed my most recent read, as a result of a firmly planted, highly-anticipatory premonition of a great read, as a result of such a welcoming and beautiful cover as well as the early development of an emotional and gripping storyline..

Healing Him, by Laura N. Andrews is a story that had this reader soaking in all of the words of the story with such high hopes of a well-rounded, beautifully emotional read containing character(s) who were almost desperate for that insatiable form-of-healing. What I found throughout this read was so much of..everything.

Throughout this seemingly lengthy read, the components of such a gripping plot, which were interspersed with surprising and giddy moments, the handling of the trigger(s), despite being, at times, difficult to read, was nicely developed, as a whole, with it’s plentiful heart-warming moments with great primary and secondary characters, many of whom had made cameos from the previous book.

I loved the two main characters, Ryan and Henry, and found their budding relationship to be beautiful and necessary for their own perspective need for peace and also for happiness. I loved how they were there for one another as they made this journey.

That being said, however, having read many stories which include bdsm, this particular one was, at times, a bit confusing to follow as the distinction between the main characters in their relationship(s) was a bit cloudy. In addition, the actual progression of the relationship, as mentioned briefly, was difficult to read, at times, due to the overall theme of the story.

While there was so much that I had liked about Healing Him, by Laura N. Andrews, it is in this reader’s opinion, that, there still exists a need for editing as there were various typos, confusing moments, as well as a need for more depth and development as well. Most importantly, there is a great need for actually addressing the actual trauma completely for true healing to take place for one of the main characters. Without appropriately addressing this trauma, the development of some parts of the relationship is questionable. It is also in this reader’s opinion that there exists a definite need for a complete, well-rounded form of healing.

Despite the need for more development as well as more clarity, I did really enjoy reading Healing Him, by Laura N. Andrews, and, look forward to more from not only this series, but, also from this author as well.
