“A Heartwarming, Adorable, First-Time Love Story”

A beautifully heartwarming, friends-to-lovers, gfy story with heartbreaking yet empowering low angst moments with sweet, adorable and addicting main characters, two legged and four, and mostly well-meaning and challenging secondary characters, caught my attention as a new hopeful story about first love.

I really enjoyed Fake the Date, by Ana Byrde, as it contained an underlying heartbreaking yet gorgeous storyline, about being true to oneself within the support and embracing love of friends and family members.  It was uplifting and very rewarding to be able to actually read and understand most of the startling emotions emanating from a few of the characters as the need to come out made itself known for many brave individuals.

With such a wonderful storyline, I felt the plot was somehow oddly varied, with a meandering direction, that with the confusion of much of its purpose, was in the end pleasantly addicting as well.  While I found myself loving most of it, there were times when I had wished for more background, development, and a whole lot of editing, as the word choice, at times, just did not fit within the particular context.

Overall, I really enjoyed Fake the Date with its sweetly adorable revelations and a newly found protective nature, main characters, Ben and Evan, were such a pleasure to read.  With its varied plot and secondary characters, it all collectively had this reader eager for their HEA as their story was certainly a wonderful read.  I really liked it. 🙂
