                                                   “Books, Baking, and Binding Love”

An exquisitely beautiful, gripping, and, heart-warming story just brought this reader to her knees as a result of such a superb display of words and emotions.  I hardly know what to say as to how much I loved this book.  The beauty of the words with their gorgeous, raw, whole-hearted and breathless meaning had this reader in an almost catatonic state while glued to the pages throughout the entire read.  The way the storyline loving wrapped itself around this lover of its extensive breadth, was welcomed.  I adored it more than I can truly say.

Charlie Sunshine, by Lily Morton, is one of the best books I have read in a very long time.  There is so much about it that I adored, as it’s plot hugged me throughout the glorious ups and the scary downs.  The characters were multi-dimensional and also wonderful, especially the main ones, Charlie and Misha.  Soulmates if there was ever a more majestic pair.  I cannot express the grandiose amount of depth and enormity of their devotion for one another, which was naturally infused into their developing little bodies from when they were children.  The bright, strong, and absolute completeness of their fused bond is breathtaking.

As a seemingly invisible entity inches its way through an eternally good soul, an even larger desperate and needy state threatens to take over, as this dominant manifestation begins to take control of such a tragic new condition.  As a result, friends and family come in swarms to provide the warm and unconditional support for Charlie who is in a newly developed state of caution and finality.  And the one person who is blindly but steadfastly leading the way is..his guardian angel, Misha.

Charlie Sunshine is written in such a way that enables the reader to drink in each and every syllable and each and every perfectly spaced word as they all have their own purpose to this story.  And for this reader, it’s purpose is to reveal a strong desire to love wholeheartedly, to love fiercely, to be free and love oneself and to love the entire person regardless of anything else.  I am blown away by Charlie Sunshine, and, I never knew how much I would have loved it beforehand.  It’s the hills and the valleys of these gripping, humorous, and heartwarming words which make up an entire story that managed to curl itself right around my entire being..and I absolutely loved it.  I adore Charlie and Misha and am so beyond glad to have read their story.

Charlie Sunshine, by Lily Morton, will be considered as one of my Top Reads 2020.  With it’s character cameos, it’s abundance of celebrity and historical references, and an array of beautifully descriptive scenarios, all has enabled this reader to take long and mesmerizing ventures down multiple virtual English paths of learning.  Even with the sporadic need for clarification, at times, due to various British vernaculars, and the need for more depth, I thoroughly enjoyed taking a trip across the water as I got to read one of the best stories of 2020.  I absolutely loved it…
