Redemption Ridge, Book 4

Owen Doyle’s rough beginnings taught him not to form attachments, yet he’s drawn to Tyler Booth like a magnet. Their relationship has blossomed from strangers to best friends, with each twist in the journey weaving their connection tighter. But Owen has a six-year secret that’s become unbearably painful to keep. As the seams of his resistance fray, Owen will lean into a new mentoring opportunity to keep from ruining the best thing in his life.

Tyler will never regret going to jail and getting sober because meeting Owen saved his life and taught him how to trust again. Their inseparable bond has earned much teasing over the years, but Tyler doesn’t recognize himself without Owen. When he senses a yawning chasm between them, he’ll turn to mutual friends for help. Their well-meaning advice opens Tyler’s eyes to unexplored possibilities and will snap missing puzzle pieces into place.

Some hopes are too big to stifle, and some truths are too big to ignore. A photo booth, smoking-hot kisses, and honest revelations will take Owen and Tyler’s intimacy to a whole new level. But before they can achieve their happily ever after, they must unload the baggage from their pasts. Will the road to discovery guide them to the necessary healing, or are the guys destined for the highway to heartache?

Friends Like Them is book four in the Redemption Ridge series. Though each story features a different couple, reading the series in order is essential. Friends Like Them contains mature themes and is intended for adults.

Excerpt:

“Ty, I want to get pictures with you in the booth.” Owen’s voice was soft, but his suggestion landed like a bomb. That tiny, cramped space wasn’t big enough. One would have to practically sit on the other’s lap. Tyler’s mind didn’t need additional encouragement to replay the earlier fantasy.

“Ty.” Owen’s voice was more urgent as he stepped beside him. “Are you okay?”

No, he wasn’t, but an honest answer would only invite additional questions he wanted to avoid. Tyler forced a smile and said, “Yeah. I’m great. Let’s go take pictures.”

Owen responded with an excited whoop before he bounded out of the kitchen. Tyler dried his hands and trailed behind him at a more sedate space so he could coach his body and brain into remaining calm. It felt like every pair of eyes was on them as they made their way toward the booth, which looked even smaller up close. Owen reached for the door just as it swung open. Finley and Kieran stumbled out with mussed hair, swollen lips, and strips of photos in their hands. Clearly, the couples used the cramped space to suck face instead of smiling for the camera. Tyler’s heart skipped a beat before galloping like a racehorse.

“It’s all yours, fellas,” Fin said with a sweeping gesture.

Kieran winked at them as they passed by, and Tyler reexperienced the sensation he was the last to figure things out.

One New Year’s masquerade. One anonymous hookup. One billionaire-sized mistake.

Once upon a time, someone looked at my scrawny, quiet eight-year-old self and nicknamed me Mr. Important… and I believed them.
That was my first mistake.
Two decades, a dozen failed careers, and a thousand meaningless hookups later, I’ve made more mistakes than I can count. My parents have decided I’m purely decorative, my brother thinks I need pep talks, and the gorgeous billionaire who hired me as a favor to my dad? He’s forgotten I exist.
So I’m done with mistakes.
Call it my New Year’s resolution. From now on, I’m going after what I want… starting with the mysterious silver fox in the Roman warrior mask who approached me at the charity gala and offered me a scorching, anonymous one-night-stand.
Unfortunately, when our masks come off I realize mistakes are not done with me.
Because the bossy guy who blew my mind? He’d thought I was someone else. Worse than that, he’s my father’s friend. A supposedly-straight workaholic. The person I’m stuck on a road trip with for the next two weeks. And, oh yeah, my actual boss.
The farther we get from New York, the closer we become, and the harder it is to pretend I’m not falling for him. But I can’t see how someone as brilliant, controlled, and successful as Thatcher Pennington would risk everything to be with someone like me… even if he makes me feel like I’m finally Mr. Important.

Lucy Lennox is a USA Today bestselling author and winner of the A.C. Katt Gay Debut Novel Award.

After enjoying creative writing as a child, Lucy didn’t write her first novel until she was over 40 years old. Her debut novel, Borrowing Blue, was published in the autumn of 2016. Lucy has an English Literature degree from Vanderbilt University, but that doesn’t hold a candle to the years and years of staying up all night reading tantalizing novels on her own. She has three children, plays tennis, and hates folding laundry. While her husband is no shmoopy romance hero, he is very good at math, cooks a mean lasagne, has gorgeous eyes, looks hot in his business clothes, and makes her laugh every single day. She writes gay romance with heart, humor, and heat!

Daruss (Dragon Skull MC Daddies Book 1)Daruss by April Kelley

“A Gripping and Exciting Dragon MC Romance”

Dragons, Humans, Warlocks, Foxes, Wolves, and MC Gangs..oh my!  Daruss, by April Kelley, is an upcoming MMM Paranormal Romance filled with plenty of nail-biting, exciting, emotional, difficult-to-read yet heart-warming moments that will make any reader eager for more!

Daruss, is the first book in a Shifter Daddy Series that is definitely to be considered a wild ride.  With plenty of paranormal beauty, a wide range of likable characters, and triggers to be wary of, this is a story full of nitty-gritty biker dealings, newly-found family members and plenty of tear-jerking hopeful moments as well.

It is also in this reader’s opinion, on-the-other-hand, that another round of editing would be recommended for not only a few typos but also for the depth, development as well as for the clarity of the plot, characters, as well as for a bit of the pace as well.  All of which would make this story even better.

Nevertheless, Daruss is a very good story with soaring and fiery dragons, lots-of-love, and a redemption that will have readers anxious and eager for more from this new Paranormal Series.

*star rating: 4.40 ‘I really liked this story’ stars*

Excerpt:

Thick gray clouds hovered overhead, rolling like the anger churning inside him. For the past year, he’d expressed his eagerness to put the past behind him and start fresh. That’s what the prison counselors and the people with power over him wanted to hear, so that was the bullshit he fed them. But privately, Kieran tended to his bitterness like a stew on the stove. He knew when to adjust the heat and which ingredients to add to the pot to keep his resentment sharp. And the fucking drab sky and clouds only antagonized him more.

For twenty months, his entire existence had been gray—the floors and walls, the food, and the pallor of the inmates’ skin. The only break in the monotony were the prison scrubs. He would happily go the rest of his life without seeing the color orange again. Kieran had foolishly allowed himself to daydream about the vibrancy he’d see on release day, but he’d just gotten more of the same. Everything around him was wet and shiny from the rain, but it was more of a piss on his parade than a refreshing, clean slate. Kieran’s olfactory senses zeroed in on the motor oil brought to the asphalt’s surface by the shower. It was a scent he knew all too well, and it became a match to his pilot light. Rainwater splashed up on his feet and shins as he walked, but his wrath made him impervious to the chill. Kieran reached inside the padded envelope, removed the wallet, and stuffed it into his back pocket. Then he tossed the envelope with the cell phone into the trash bin. The device was dead, the contract canceled, and there was no one on the contact list he wanted to speak to anymore.

A slight breeze stirred the air, and Kieran closed his eyes and tipped his head back. Yeah, he’d enjoyed fresh air during breaks in the yard, but they never lasted long enough and were controlled by someone else. He’d lived long enough like a marionette, and there was no better time to embrace free will. The weather wasn’t what he’d hoped for, but he got to enjoy it outside the fences, and that was a victory he’d stop and embrace.

A rumbling engine caught his attention, and he opened his eyes in time to see a black king cab truck with a silver Redemption Ridge logo stop in front of the facility. The guy behind the wheel wasn’t a chauffeur, but he was there for Kieran just the same. A year ago, he set a plan into motion, and Cash Sweeney’s presence proved it had worked.

Kieran’s good behavior had gained him access to the K9 programs at Arrowhead, where he’d met Cash and his dogs from Redemption Ridge. The front passenger window rolled down, and a familiar black-and-white head poked out. Patsy, a border collie, was the first dog he’d met during the program, and it had been love at first sight for them. It turned out Kieran had a sixth sense when working with animals, especially the shyest ones. His talents had captured Cash’s notice, and he’d offered Kieran employment and housing on his ranch, where he rehabilitated horses and dogs. Kieran’s participation in the program and the subsequent employment opportunity hadn’t been divine intervention or luck; it was all part of his carefully orchestrated plan.

As Kit steps out of the Uber into the howling wind and rain, the little voice in her head begs her to turn back. Wouldn’t you be so much more comfortable in bed, the voice asks, filling her with anxiety. Curiosity killed the cat, isn’t that what they say?

Kit shoves the voice into a box in the back of her mind and puts it on a shelf. Now muffled by her resolve, the voice continues to whine in the background as she fights desperately to ignore it. The urge to return to the car and head straight back home to her dusty, leaky apartment is overwhelming, but Kit gives the driver a quick wave and sloshes through the deep puddles to the sidewalk.

Ice cold water seeps through the worn-out soles of her boots as she clutches a little black notebook, no bigger than the palm of her hand, tightly to her chest. Kit has no idea how the book came to be in her possession, only that she had been meant to find it. It had been propped up on her bedside table when she had awoken this morning. Only four pages had been written on, the rest were blank.

The brief note scrawled in Elaine’s familiar, barely legible handwriting on the fourth page is imprinted in her mind. Kit had stared at it for so long that she had unconsciously memorized it:

Miss me? Eleanor Roosevelt said the purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience. So, go live. I love you; I’ll see you in Paris. – E

Paris, Kit thinks bitterly to herself, another dream we were forced to put away on a shelf, left up there to collect dust. It’s just like E to be so frustratingly whimsical. Already slick with rain, the leather-bound cover of the notebook sends tiny shock waves from Kit’s fingertips to her chest. I can’t turn back, she tells herself. I have to do this. For her.

The hospital looms ahead, a pitch-black monster silhouetted against the angry storm clouds clogging the evening sky. Kit hates hospitals, this one more than most. She has not been here since that day and had not planned on ever returning if she could help it. And yet here I am, all because of this stupid book. She curses her own morbid curiosity.

Kit steels herself against the stinging wind and trudges up the steps into the fluorescent lights of the hospital lobby. She shakes droplets of rainwater off the notebook in her hands and opens it to the first page, feeling her pulse quicken as she reads the name and address written there:

Ridgeview Trinity Hospital: 394 Ridgeview Rd. Room 317, Thomas Greene.

It’s eerie, seeing Elaine’s loopy, slanted letters written so plainly on the page. Haunting. It’s something that Kit had never expected to see again. A hollow pain begins throbbing from somewhere deep in her chest. Kit remembers how Elaine used to say her thoughts flew by too rapidly for her hand to possibly keep up. She wonders when Elaine had written the note and tries to imagine her wife’s dainty porcelain hand gripping the pen. A tangible memory to hold onto.

Somewhere in her mind, Kit wonders why Elaine had even bothered to write down the hospital’s address. They had both learned it by heart, by the end.

She approaches the nurses’ station. Ridgeview is a small hospital; Kit could likely find Room 317 on her own, but she figures it would be more polite to ask. The nurse seated at the desk looks up from her book with surprise.

“Kit! I wasn’t expecting to see you here so soon. It’s a terrible night to be out and about! How are you holding up?”

Kit ignores the question.

“I’m looking for Room 317. I’m here to see,” she checks the name written in the book again, “uh, Thomas Greene?”

The nurse looks confused for a moment; then her face lights up. “Oh, that’s wonderful to hear. Tom never gets any visitors! This will make his night. Technically visiting hours ended at five, but I think we can make an exception. Tom has no family that we know of. Not even a next of kin, the poor man. Let’s go see if he’s awake, shall we?”

The nurse stands and hurries down the hall, gesturing for Kit to follow.

Excerpt:

RHYS W hat was left of my laptop lay shattered in front of me, and my father’s shiny black shoes filled my field of vision where I lay crumpled on the floor. I choked back a sob as I watched him bring his foot down heavily on the laptop. The loud crunch and crack of plastic made me flinch and try to curl against myself tighter. I lay there staring at the dust bunnies under my bed, waiting for him to turn his ire onto me, but thankfully the blows didn’t come. This time. “That’s that. No more of that in my house! Grown men should not be engaging in those disgusting activities. It’s filth, boy!” His voice rose louder as another pair of shoes came into view—the drab, sensible shoes my stepmother preferred to wear. “Your father is right as always, Rhys. If you continue down this path, your eternal soul will not find salvation,” she said in that condescending tone she always used when she was sermonising at me. I should have hidden the laptop better. It had been a gift from my grandad for my twentieth birthday, since he’d known that anything I looked at on the computer was strictly vetted by my stepmother and dad. I could only go on a few sites, and even then, my stepmother watched over my shoulder. Grandad said I needed my independence, to see what was going on in the world—and not through my parents’ hate-tinted glasses. My laptop had helped me explore what I wanted from life, and helped me understand who I was. Those quirks and differences that had always painted me as ‘wrong’ in my father and stepmother’s eyes, I now saw through a clearer lens. I had never admitted to anyone that I was gay, but I think my grandad knew, and the laptop was his way of showing me that I was not wrong or sinful. Of course, I was a healthy curious young man with the internet, and I stumbled upon things that both shocked and surprised me. And then I found a site devoted to Daddies and Littles. It was that site that opened my eyes to a world I hadn’t known existed. Unfortunately, I’d been browsing the site when my father had chosen to barge into my room. He was supposed to be on late shift at the station since they were a man down until a new constable arrived from London, so I hadn’t expected him to burst into my room, still dressed in his uniform, eyes blazing. Seeing the laptop had sent him into a rage, and before I had a chance to close the browser, he’d ripped it from my hands. The backhander that followed knocked me off the bed, and led to where I was now, huddled on the floor while my father destroyed the laptop, all the while spouting his hate-filled words. “Husband, I believe it’s time we dealt with this problem. I think it’s time we sent him to the farm. Father Gordon will have him seeing things clearer.” I felt ill. The farm was a horrible place, and nothing like the name suggested. My Father’s church advertised it as being a place of contemplation and religious learning, when in fact it was nothing more than a forced religious conversion camp. I’d been sent there when I was sixteen, my father hoping the back breaking labour and appalling conditions would make me more malleable, more compliant to his will, but all it had done was enforce the desire to leave home as soon as I could. I’d vowed never to let myself be sent back to the farm.

From the Universe to Me
Scott E. Garrison © 2023

I only graduated high school two months ago, and I’m already excited to start Ashelford University as a history major.

I’m a huge nerd and love to learn, so college has been a goal of mine and of my parents since I could form sentences. When my parents and I sat down to discuss which university would be the best fit for me, I knew that the hometown university would be a no-brainer due to funds and the proximity.

I’ve spent countless hours on campus exploring every building and classroom, including the school’s black-box theater where I performed as a chorus member in the production of Once on This Island. I pretend I’m an explorer on a new adventure every time I visit. I like to think I’m a stealthy spy, looking for a secret passage that will lead to an exciting new discovery, which I’m sure makes me seem even more nerdy, but the cherry on top of my nerdiness sundae has to be the fact I showed up for my enrollment meeting with my advisor, Dr. Helena Richards, for my freshman year a few hours early.

With my adventures for the day complete, I make my way toward the Liberal Arts Building, which towers over me like a giant about to devour its prey. As I stand on the sidewalk, my eyes climb the red-bricked exterior that seems to grow infinitely the more I stare. I feel small in its shadow. I straighten my back and confidently make my way up the front entry stairs.

My mission—should I choose to accept it—is to put together a list of classes I want to take prior to my meeting, which rests clenched in my sweaty right hand. I’ve heard so many great things about Dr. Richards, but I’m still extremely nervous to meet her in person. We have emailed since I got accepted into the university, but I still worry she might not like me because I’m an immature freshman.

As I enter the main lobby, everything looks as I remember. Everything seems to have a purpose; a reason for being placed in its seemingly permanent location. I take a deep, calming breath. This is where I will learn new, exciting life lessons that will leave me a more educated student ready for graduate school; one step closer to becoming a professor.

I’m ready to make my dreams a reality, something my parents have always encouraged.

They have such high hopes for me. My parents have always told me I could never disappoint them, but there is still that hesitation I’m sure every child has when faced with big life decisions. In the back of my mind, I wonder where those limits end. I know deep down my mother and my father are my biggest fans, but my anxiety makes me overthink every decision before acting.

Over the years, I’ve struggled to be myself around my parents, never revealing too much of myself, hiding behind masks I’ve created. I know I’m attracted to men, but I do my best to convince myself that I’m straight. I fear being different and being rejected by the people in my life. These fears feed the energy-sucking parasite formerly known as my depression. I’ve had many opportunities to reveal myself to my loved ones, but as I have done many times before, I remain silent because my fears always win.

I walk up to the front desk in the history wing where a tired-looking girl with blonde hair, wearing a white and green Ashelford University T-shirt and a black skirt, sits staring at the computer. I might think she was dead if I didn’t hear the clicking noise made by the mouse in her hand.

She has a name tag that reads Anna Pasley pinned to her shirt. She doesn’t look up at me as I approach.

“Can I help you?” she says, forcing the words out with all her strength. She looks like she hasn’t slept in weeks. God, I know college is difficult, but do they force all students to stay up for hours studying and testing their academic prowess? Like the Hunger Games but centered on academia.

“Excuse me. My name is Tobias Gavin. I have an appointment with Dr. Richards to discuss my schedule for my first semester.” Anna flinches in her chair when she hears me speak.

Anna looks at me with bloodshot eyes. She looks like she has accomplished the horrifying skill of sleeping with her eyes open. She has tons of books open in front of her, but I can see the game of Solitaire open on the computer screen, which explains the mouse clicking away as I walked up to the desk.

“Do you have an appointment with Dr. Richards?” she asks.

“Um, yes, I have an appointment. She asked me to be here at 2:00 PM to discuss my schedule for my first semester.” I am baffled by her inability to register my previous statement.

“You realize it’s 1:15, right?” Her questioning expression makes me feel like I’m a small, insignificant freshman starting high school all over again.

I chuckle and sport a half-assed grin, so she doesn’t realize I’m embarrassed for arriving forty-five minutes early. This isn’t how cool college kids behave. They arrive fashionably late, acting like they have zero cares in the world. This isn’t me, so I blush in response.

I’m annoyingly early to everything. My family and friends hate and love me for this quality. My friends like the fact I will always arrive early to help set up parties but hate when I’m adamant about getting to the movies an hour early to find the best seats, which you select when you buy the tickets. I’m smart, but my anxiety runs my life more than my common sense.

I glance at the screen. “You can move the Queen of Hearts to the King of Clubs to free up another space.” Who knows, maybe we will become good friends?

“She is with another student so you will have to wait,” she responds, ignoring my tip. “She won’t finish with this student for another forty-five minutes. You can wait over there on those couches.” She says turning her attention to the Solitaire game. She waves her hand with a small amount of effort in a random direction. Her lack of acknowledgement of my statement assures this is where our relationship ends and dies.

I notice red couches in the room’s corner, so I shuffle over to them and sit down. I glance around the room, wondering how many people have sat on this same couch. Where are they now? Did they attain their goals or fail miserably?

Failure isn’t an option for me. I have too many dreams I want to accomplish. I want to become a history professor. Personally, I don’t care what college I end up teaching at as long as I can fill the minds of my students with illustrious, educational information about our world’s history.

I would never admit this in public, but I have secretly aspired to be like some of the teachers that have encouraged my goals of becoming a professor.

TIM MILLER

My life in Valentine, Nebraska, wasn’t easy. At just nineteen, I found myself homeless and jobless with no prospects on the horizon. A life of abuse crushed people, but I still had space in my heart for love. With the support and guidance of an elderly widower, my life finally began to turn around.

Being young and gay in a small town brought challenges but I had goals for my life, one of which was to be loved. The arrival of a world famous author to our small community turned my world upside down. What did I have to offer a man like Davis? I have nothing but my heart. I hope it’s enough.

DAVIS HILL

After the end of my five-year relationship in Malibu, I was desperate for change. Even though my career was successful, I could still use an infusion of ideas for my next book. So I did the unthinkable and decided to randomly stick a pin in a map and relocate. My friends may have labeled me insane, but I couldn’t resist the temptation. A fresh start in a new town offered the chance to distract myself while I heal from the pain of a failed relationship.

Coming to the rescue of Tim on the very first day we met, was the beginning of one story I hadn’t expected. I had relocated to find a great story, but hadn’t expected to discover my own love story. Could a small town in the middle of nowhere offer a new beginning for both my heart and my career? Little did I know that small towns could have dark secrets that could threaten to shatter my heart.

PROLOGUE: Tim

“Sorry to wake you, Mr. Hanks,” I said, standing on the front porch of his old farmhouse. I turned toward where I lived several hundred yards away on the other side of the graveled country road. He glanced that way as well, knowing where I’d come from and why.

His pinched face said it all. “What’d you do this time, boy?”

I glanced toward my house again, shivering from the bone chilling temps. “Left the bathroom light on, sir.”

It was nearly zero degrees outside and I’d been thrown out by my stepdad. I was only wearingpajama bottoms, threadbare socks, and a holey Garth Brooks T-shirt I’d purchased for a dime at the local secondhand store. I’d also managed to grab a pair of rubber boots I kept in the mudroom but hadn’t had time to snatch my coat before I felt my stepdad’s foot on my backside when he literally kicked me out the door.

“Come inside, son. You’re gonna catch your death out there.”

“Thank you, sir,” I mumbled, my breath visible in the cold. “I’m really sorry, but I didn’t have anywhere else to go, Mr. Hanks.”

“And your momma?”

“He’s leaving her alone tonight, sir.”

“OK, then. I guess there’s no need for my shotgun,” he said, stepping aside for me to enter his kitchen.“I swear,” he muttered, shuffling behind me as I made my way to the kitchen table, rubbing my arms to create warmth. “You hungry, boy?” Five seconds went by without me answering him. “I’ll take that as a yes.”

I sat down at a table I’d become fairly acquainted with since I’d turned eighteen a year and a month ago. I watched as Mr. Hanks used his hand and scooped bacon grease out of an old coffee can his wife had set by the stove some forty years ago.

“Eggs and fried biscuits okay, son?”

“Yes, sir. Thank you, sir,” I responded, happy for whatever he had to offer.

“You eat today, boy?” he asked, turning to me after breaking four eggs into the old cast iron frying pan. The sizzling heat caused grease splatter to shoot from the pan. The smell of bacon wafted through the kitchen’s air even though there wasn’t any in the pan, but the taste would be amazing, nonetheless. “And I’ll take that answer as a no.”

“I was busy, sir,” I lied. “I guess I forgot.”

“I guess you did,” he agreed, but I could tell he knew otherwise. This wasn’t our first late night meal. Mr. Hanks knew my backstory well. He sliced two biscuits in half and placed them face down in the pan after sliding the eggs out of the way.

“What were you so busy doin’ in this weather you’d forget to eat somethin’, son?” he asked. “Not much goin’ on at your farm is there?”

He leaned over my right shoulder and placed a plate of food in front of me. I felt his finger brush across the back of my neck and he tugged on the collar of my frayed T-shirt from behind me. “Harold had me sortin’ the barn out, sir,” I answered, squirming in my chair because I knew what Mr. Hanks was looking for. Harold was my stepdad.

“And where exactly did you get these marks?” he asked, stretching the thin fabric down from the back of my neck. I was silent after his question and he was having nothing of it. I was afraid to start eating, wondering what he was thinking of his discovery. “Do me a favor, Timmy, and stand up for me,” he urged, tapping my shoulder.

I reached for the back of my T-shirt’s collar but he intercepted me and held my hand gently. “It’s nothin’, sir,” I lied again. I hated that I kept lying to the only person who seemed to care about me.

“Let me decide that, son,” he stated. “Now please stand up and take your shirt off for me.”

I stared at the plate of eggs and biscuits, my stomach exhorting me to dig in. I was hungry like most days lately and hoped he’d still let me eat when he found out I’d lied to him. I shuffled to my feet and stood staring at the food, tears fell from myeyes which I tried hard to stifle. I knew very well what crying led to at home but the pain that resided inside me overpowered my ability to stop the tears. I needed something more than crying as a defense and I’d yet to find what that was.

“I fell off the ladder headin’ up to the hay loft,” I explained nervously as I began to lift the shirt up. “I’m clumsy like that sometimes,” I mumbled.

He pulled my shirt the rest of the way over my head, shaking his head slowly from side to side, frowning. “You’re just gonna keep lyin’ for him, ain’t ya?” Mr. Hanks asked.

“I’m sorry, sir,” I said. “He’s been better lately.”

“Better’n what?” he asked. “He’s whippin’ you again, boy, and that ain’t better.”

“He’ll sober up tomorrow and then he’ll be better,” I defended, almost believing the lie.

“Oh, trust me, boy. He’ll be better all right, but it won’t be tomorrow. That’s a fact. Now you sit here and eat your food,” he said. “I’ll be gettin’ my shotgun so I can pay your stepdaddy a visit, and I ain’t waitin’ for him to sober up.”

Having a foursome is a dream come true, but navigating a relationship is more challenging.

Blurb

Being a camboy is great, but I’m bored of performing solo. I’ve invited myself to be adult film star Lyric Steele’s co-star for the day, and I’m taking my partner-in-crime and soon-to-be-housemate, Rubin, along as my chaperone.

It doesn’t take long to realise I’m attracted to Lyric. And to his flatmate, Toby, a talented director with a firm hand. And to Rubin, who I’ve been flirting with forever. A steamy night proves the four of us have chemistry, but taking our relationship out of the bedroom won’t be easy.

Lyric and Toby have their hands full with my bratty ways, and Rubin’s no angel either. Will good communication be enough to turn sexy fun into something strong and lasting?

Camboy is an MMMM friends-to-lovers, steamy, age-gap romance with two Doms, two bratty subs and found family. It’s the sixth and final book in the My Kinky Housemate series. While it can be read as a standalone, it’s better to read it as part of the series.

Excerpt

I take my turn. “Have you ever had sex in public? Not unless you count sucking off that jock in empty classrooms.”

Rubin frowns. “Haven’t you had sex in the stacks at The Library?”

“No.” I smile stiffly. “But I’d like to. I also want to do it somewhere more risqué.” I smirk. “Like sucking someone off in a restaurant or having a quickie in a lift on the way to the top floor of a tall building.”

“I told you he had at least twenty sexual fantasies.” Rubin pulls me to him and kisses my hair. “And I know I’ll enjoy listening to all of them.”

I wave my hand. “At least twenty. I could list them all right now if you wanted me to.” I run my finger over my bottom lip. “They might turn you on, but that’s okay, isn’t it?”

Lyric shudders. “We’re playing a game.”

I let out a dramatic sigh and then knock the Jenga tower over.

“Why did you do that?”

“Game over. Oh no. Maybe we should fuck instead.”

“He did it because he’s a brat,” Toby says. His voice is firm, but there’s an underlying hint of amusement ruining the effect.

“A brat who wants to be fucked. Or spanked. Or allowed to suck off one or all of my men.” I flutter my lashes. “I’m not fussy.”

Lyric laughs. “I’m sure you’re not.”

I return to Rubin, put my hand on his nape, and stare into his eyes. “Kiss me?”

He obliges, devouring my mouth. I moan and whimper around his tongue and rub my chest against his. Eventually, we have to break to breathe.

I flutter my lashes at Toby and Lyric. “Please, Sirs, can we watch you fuck?”

They glance at each other, eyes sparkling.

Toby rubs his thighs. “They did ask nicely.” His earlier hesitance seems to be gone. Thankfully.

“All right,” Lyric says. “On one condition.”

Rubin and I stare at him expectantly.

“You’re not allowed to touch yourselves or each other.”

“What?” Rubin asks.

Lyric smiles. “You heard. You’re not allowed to touch yourselves or each other.”

“We’re not even allowed to kiss?” I ask, horrified.

His smile morphs into a grin. “Nope.”

“That’s…torture.”

“I know. Take it or leave it.”
