The Bones Beneath My Skin, by TJ Klune is one of the most incredible stories I have ever read by this author. I am stunned at the absolute massiveness of this book. The storyline is brilliant, somehow encompassing seemingly heavy aspects involving life, love, and of what it means to exist. WOW. I’ll say it again, it was brilliant. My head spun as a result of such beautiful intricacies set within this story and within its main characters. The plot, with its extremely-detailed, thought-provoking, absolutely heart-breaking, deeply gut-wrenching, and yet equally humorous moments, was unlike anything I have ever read. It had managed to pull every-single-emotion out of me many times over, all the while holding onto me tightly as I took this winding journey right along with all of the characters.
This story, without a doubt, kept me on the edge-of-my-seat throughout the entire read. It had me on my knees almost internally begging for some sort of peace and happiness for the main characters as a result of the absolutely gripping journey they had been on. I do not think there are adequate words to describe just how much I love the main characters, Nate Alex and Artemis. I absolutely adore them.
As mentioned briefly, there were a multitude of secondary characters as well, each of them very realistic, and, many of them having their own sub-plots to the original as well. There was also a developed need for the existence of some sort of understanding light for these characters as well.
Even though there were some moments which were a bit confusing, that which had existed, with its deep, emotionally enlightening plot and its grandiose storyline, it was not only breathtakingly beautiful but it was also so very beyond EPIC. I am so very glad and honored to have been given this opportunity to read and review this amazing book, The Bones Beneath My Skin..I loved it…..:)
