Mage of Legend (An M/M Gay Fantasy Romance): A Kal’brath Novel (ARC) was graciously provided to me by the author, Jennifer Amriss, for an honest review.

“Game of Thrones Meets The Covenant Series”

Dragons, love, strength, beauty, power, love, magic, have I mentioned love? This book. THIS BOOK. This book is absolutely amazing. I absolutely loved it. Ab-sol-ute-ly loved it.

Mage of Legend, by Jennifer Amriss, is one of those books that you come across where you find yourself just sitting there, mouth agape and frozen, all within periods of frequent stunned silence, due to the magnitude of the book. The sheer beauty is staggering. This is a gem. A rare five-star gem.

What an incredible and wonderful treat it was to read such a fulfilling and beautiful story, one that is filled with elves, dragons, magic and diverse creatures. Mage of Legend, takes place in a seemingly similar world to that of earth but with a dash of modern times. The reader is taken on a beautifully detailed and complex sensory ride to a different dimension, with Xastrian Senuvesal, the new and pristine King of the Dragons, and Levithor Adonel, a great hunter with a pure heart. This story will grab you and not let you go as you read about the handsome new Dragon King and how he comes to terms with his status and also of love and life.

While I am new to this author, and also of any prior books, it did not take away from how much I loved this story. I would also like to briefly point out the existence of very minor spelling glitches, as well as some questions left open. But, that’s what reading is about sometimes. Questions left without their answers, whether it be permanent or temporary, that’s what readers sometimes come across. And, that’s ok. Regardless of how many times we, as readers, scream out into the air, “whaaaaat?”, it’s ok. That being said, by looking at the entire story, my love for Xastrian Senuvesal and also for Velithor Adonel, is the most important thing to me, as this book is only part of what is to come.

Regardless of which dimension they both live in, Xastrian and Velithor live in a beautiful world, one of which I am eager to read more about. The most important thing? Oh yes, is to read about the strength of two amazing elves, Xastrian and Velithor and their amazing bonded love. 🙂
