“A Powerfully Emotional Story about Love and Acceptance”
Oh my word! MY WORD! A tremendously emotional and empowering story of two wonderful young men just took this reader by storm. A damaged journey spanning a decade, containing so many nail-biting and breathtaking dips and turns, hit me like a ton of bricks. The storyline, the plot, the characters, the arc..was immense. I adored the main and secondary characters to bits, from the gender-fluid dedicated young man to the strong, mighty, and protective drag queens, the characters were fabulous. I am floored as to how much I loved my most recent read. With it’s gripping, gut-wrenching, painful, nail-gnawing moments, I lost a serious amount of fluid as a result of this incredible read.
How to Forgive, by Susan Hawke, is a heart-rending, tremendously moving story filled with emotional, shocking, and exceedingly beautiful moments with equally humorous, squeal-worthy, adorable brevity lead by extremely protective drag queens and a gruffly yet loving four-legged furball. With a storyline dowsed in intense bravery and sacrifice, readers are able to fend off additional difficult-to-read triggers of bullying and abuse, to allow grandiose moments of gender identity, love, and, forgiveness to permeate their temporarily mushy minds as characters battle their way through varying moments of acceptance, love, and, devotion.
SQUEEE! I crazy loved the main characters, Grayson and Wolf, and, could-not-get-enough of them with their yummy chemistry, I found them to be exactly what the other one needed. Literally. While I needed a road map of all the secondary characters, many serving as cameos from previous stories, I am already addicted to them and definitely need to immerse myself within their own perspective stories.
GAH..this story was a-ma-zing with such intense theme(s) of sexual identity, acceptance, love, inclusion, and..forgiveness. Even though I would have liked a bit more development with respect to the main character’s actual relationship as well as the ending, I absolutely loved it! 🙂
