Anton (Chicago Blaze, #1) (ARC) was graciously provided to me by InkSlinger PR for an honest review. I have voluntarily read this book and have provided my honest opinion.

An Emotional and Heart-Warming Hockey Story

An emotionally gripping and beautifully engaging story of a hockey-driven young man whose hopes and dreams have lead him toward an ever-increasing need and drive for those who have claimed his heart.  This modern-day prince charming will have every reader swooning and quickly melting as a result of such radiating love and devotion.  This voraciously dedicated, strong, and admirable prince charming is..Anton Petrov.  Gah..how I loved him…

Woahhh..what a story I just had the absolute pleasure in reading!  I could not put it down!  Anton, by Brenda Rothert is an emotional, gripping, heart-warming, and exciting read, with just the right amount adorable and humorous moments, of a young hockey player from Russia, who is this intensely driven, incredibly passionate, absolutely amazing family member and friend who is just about everything for everyone.  It is this drive that has led him to different kinds of varying moments, throughout this story, that has allowed him to reach even higher-bouts of chivalry in this amazing story.

Anton is quite an addicting, mesmerizing, and detailed story that as I read my way through this plentiful storyline, which happens to contain one of my most favorite tropes..HOCKEY..it’s plot quickly had developed into one that had so much going on, that it had me glued to my kindle as I eagerly waited to see what would happen next as the dips and turns and surprises quickly came at me.

As this story does have a great storyline, with great characters, who were able to draw out a vast array of emotions from this reader, it’s plot does in fact contain major triggers, that many of them were quite challenging to read.  As the plot had a varied sort-of-direction, it’s characters had collectively made up this emotional and invigorating read.

Despite these cringe-worthy and intensely emotional moments, it is in this readers opinion, that, there was still a need for more depth and development to not only the plot, in some areas, but also to the main characters, as I had frequently thought that I had entered their romance after it had already begun rather than at the very beginning, and as a result, I found myself investigating whether this was the beginning of a spin-off series for these characters or a freshly new one.  It was because of these particular moments, as well a few typos, that I had greatly welcomed the absolutely squishy-adorable and humorous moments from characters who I just needed to seriously squeeze-hug over and over again throughout this entire story.

Anton, by Brenda Rothert, is an empowering, emotional, and, exciting story consisting of a great storyline, a gripping and beautiful plot, and wonderfully distinct and incredible characters that had this reader glued to this deep and entirely exciting read.  I am so glad to have read it and look forward to more from this series…:)
